I spent my first 2 years on board the Corry in Pensacola doing plane guard duty and after this mornings tour of Historic Pensacola I wonder if I was really there or maybe I drank more then I remember, but I did not see anything that I could remember!! After the riding tour we went to McGuire's Irish Pub for lunch, what a place! the first thing you see is money, the entire ceiling is covered with one dollar bills. When the Pub opened in 1977 Molly, a waitress, signed her first one dollar tip and tacked it to the back bar for good luck, that became a tradition for everyone. The IRS comes every other year and makes a guess at how much is there and of course that is income. The last estimate was about $450,000 to which we added some. If that place ever catches fire a lot of folks will commit hari-kari
The Food was good and the 18 cent bean was full of beans, good thing there was no smoking on the Trolley, we would have had a terrible explosion if a match were struck.
